Research group on Fish Physiology and its application in Aquaculture

The PhysToFish research group belongs to the Marine Research Center (CIM) of the University of Vigo and has been recognized as a competitive reference group (GRC) by the Regional Government of Galicia. Located in the Faculty of Biology, it was founded in 1998 by Professors José Luis Soengas and Jesús M. Míguez. Throughout its history, 18 national and international researchers have been trained within the group. Currently, it comprises 2 professors, 2 tenured professors, 4 postdoctoral researchers (including 2 Ramón y Cajal fellows), 7 predoctoral researchers, 1 project manager, and 1 laboratory technician.
